Easy Button-up Baby Cocoon

I always wanted to do this baby cocoon since I saw few patterns from the internet. Since I don't really have the time to follow or to do anything to complicated, I come up with this simple Button-up Baby Cocoon. This project is suitable for beginner crocheter as it uses basic crochet stitches.

Material:

Yarn - DK/ 8-ply

Hook - 4.00mm/ G

Gauge:

Diameter - 6.5 inches

Bottom to Top - 18 inches

Instruction:

Magic Ring 12, ss.

Rnd 1: 2dc in each st, ss. (24)

Rnd 2: 2dc in 1st st, 1dc in next st, repeat all around, ss. (36)

Rnd 3: 2dc, 1dc, 1dc all around, ss. (48)

Rnd 4: 2dc, 1dc, 1dc, 1dc all around, ss. (60)

Rnd 5: 2dc, 1dc, 1dc, 1dc, 1dc all around, ss. (72)

Rnd 6: 2dc, 1dc, 1dc, 1dc, 1dc, 1dc all around, ss. (84)

Rnd 7 - 13: 1dc in each st all around, ss. (84)

From Rnd 14 to finish, it will work in rows.

Rnd 14: 1dc in all 84 sts, ch 12, turn.

Rnd 15 - 16: 1dc all around. (94)

Rnd 17: 1dc in 3rd ch from hook, 1dc all around. (94)

Rnd 18: 1dc in 89 sts, ch 3, sk 3 sts, 1dc in last 3 sts.

Rnd 19 - 27: 1dc each st all around.

Rnd 28: Repeat Rnd 18.

Rnd 29 - 37: Repeat Rnd 19 - 27.

Rnd 38: Repeat Rnd 18.

Rnd 39 - 40: 1dc in each sts, fastern and weave the ends.
